Leading Mid-Tier public accounting firm is now offering 12-week Public Accounting Internship to top Accounting students and graduates. This firm provides accounting expertise, auditing, and tax services to its clients. You will work alongside the Practice Manager, and a team of junior and senior accountants to support public accounting internship tasks for 12 weeks over the internship period. This is a great opportunity to put your accounting theory into practice as a public accounting intern.

Public Accounting Internship Responsibilities

  • Assisting clients with the preparation of financial statements
  • Auditing clients’ financial statements
  • Preparing clients’ tax returns
  • Bookkeeping as well as accounts payable and accounts receivable support
  • Supporting month-end resporting activities as well as reconciliations

What you will learn during this Internship?

  • Preparation of Business Activity Statement (BAS) and Installment Activity Statement (IAS)
  • Preparation of Income Tax Returns for corporate clients
  • Bookkeeping duties as specified by the Senior Accountant
  • Industry-standard accounting software including MYOB, Xero and Quickbooks
  • Lodgement of client updates with the Australian Securities & Investment Commission (ASIC)
